The weather, currently.

90s and chance of pm thunderstorms for Tuesday, August 2nd.

I have good news and bad news for this forecast today. The bad news is a ridge of high pressure that brought record breaking temperatures to the Pacific Northwest is on the move and headed towards Colorado. The good news is, if you are on the Front Range you see hot temperatures for the start of the day, but you see chances of rain for Tuesday that help cool you off! Phew, I feel like we dodged a bullet on that one.

Here's what your Tuesday forecast looks like.

1) Hot afternoon. Temperatures in the mid 90s. Just so you know if you are headed towards southern Colorado (like Pueblo or the southeastern plains) then you will see triple digits.

2) Chance of pm storms after 3 p.m. into the evening hours.

3) Gets cooler for the rest of the week! High 80s expected for Wednesday.

What you need to know, currently.

For more than a year, Currently has been building a weather service for the climate emergency — and listening to our members to build the kinds of weather and climate services that frontline communities need to stay safe, all while expanding joy and justice amid escalating extreme weather.

We’re looking to expand our real-time weather support services in languages other than English to provide weather alerts everyone can understand. We send custom weather alerts one to two days ahead of potential hazardous extreme weather event. We are also building a text message service that people can use to interact with our meteorologists directly and ask about their weather and how best to prepare.
